The department of interior architecture, faculty of architecture of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University welcomes the interior architectural symposium once again, which has been carried on successfully at an international level, for the sixth time.
The Interior Architectural Symposium, which has continuously been helding on since 2008 up to the present, and which also evolved to an international organization in 2016, is planning to gather the productive and sharing participants who are keeping up with the innovative approaches on spatial design.
This time we are following the trace of the ‘material’.
We are planning to sense and also notice the potential of the material with its skin, its body and its promises, while uncovering the impressions of the materials on spaces also on the observer who experiences the space.
We are going to take another step in order to reach the hidden meanings of the ‘material’, while marking the footprints of it on our sensorial map. We are planning to make sense out of its relation with space, drawing attention to the dialog of both, by means of the variability of interferences between the human and the space. We are going to look closer to the acts of the material as much as behaviour of us onto it. We are possibly going to make an apology to the material as much as we appreciate it.
In order to achieve our goal, we are planning to hear the voice of the material in the first place, then question how can we manage to be the voice itself with our designs.
In order to achieve this goal together, we are pleased to see our associates who may contribute with their ideas and their knowledge to the 6th International Interior Architectural Symposium which will be held at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Sedad Hakkı Eldem Auditorium on the 14th, 15th and the 16th of November 2018.
